Been super keen to get this done. Really happy with the result.

Very clean. Number plate would stay in the window if it was mine.

Ha I’m considering that Andrew.
The sticker arrived. It’s huge. Covers way too much body to put it over the fog. Seems most use an undersize version, must be illegal. Not really up for constant pulls.
Maybe dash based then.
Only thing is very annoying having it fly about with spirited cornering!

Is this easy to do? Thinking of doing the same or asking a garage to do it if they are willing

I thought it would be hard even with everyone saying it was a doddle.
Had my mechanic remove bumper and I took it home.

Very easy once bumper is off.
It becomes clear what needs removing.
Use a dreamer with plastic cutter for a perfect line.
Once main number plate section has been cut off. You’ll see where to tape to create a nice cut line down each side.
Cut grill inch oversize all round ( use old as template)
Fit from rear with screws or ties.
I used ties at the bottom which can just be seen from outside.
They are neat and symmetrical so look industrial/ race.

With regards to people using smaller sticky number plates which must be illegal, any vinyl/sticky number plate is illegal as they aren't reflective or comply by BSAU 145d standards.
So if you have a sticky number plate thats normal size, its illegal anyway so may as well make it smaller too as its still the same £100 fine. Although most police won't bother with you if you have some form of number plate on the front whether it be sticky, or smaller or whatever, but you do get those really pathetic officers with the tiniest of penis' that like to throw their power around. But as said, worst comes to worst its £100 fine or keep a standard plate in the car and offer to put that on at the road side to avoid fine.

I have a reflective stick on version too. It's on my kitchen table.
Can be bought and are legal. Just too big for my car.

Is there anyway of doing the same with the fog light grille ?

I’ve done away with my fog lights due to intercooler pipe work taking priority of the space

Would be nice to mesh over that part too so it looks tidy
