Quietest downpipe out there?

Since a few months now I'm ready to pull the trigger on a stage 2 remap but I keep putting it off as I'm too scared of the extra noise an upgraded downpipe will bring. In the past, I have had bad experiences with exhaust upgrades (although those were full turbo back systems with basically mid resonator delete and much noisier back boxes) and I don't want to make the same mistake again.

So, this time I'm only changing the downpipe with a catted one, aiming only for the better gas flow and no extra noise at all, keeping the stock cat-back. To be 100% clear: My ideal option would be one that I would not be able to tell I was running an upgraded downpipe at all without looking below the car

The options I'm considering are: APR, Unitronic, Milltek, REVO, HG-Motorsport (DE) so anyone with experience on these and how they compare either compared to the stock DP or between them would be much appreciated. Also, any other suggestion for a quiet DP that I might have missed is more than welcome.

I had a BCS 200 cell DP on my Mk7 Golf R. It was very quiet and very well made.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have heard of Powervalve but not many details about them, I guess they must be popular in the UK. If more people agree to your findings I would be willing to give them a try, from their price they don't seem to be a budget option.

It's a premium product here.

After some discussions I'm leaning towards a solution with a HJS 200 cell catalyst (seems like the Holy Grail of catalysts??) on the same position as in the OEM dp: adjacent to the turbo, not relocated under the car as several aftermarket options feature.

Seems Milltek is offering that in their SSXVW396 item (200cell HJS dp paired with OE cat-back), anyone running that able to provide some feedback about noise?
