Hi All,
I know there's a few threads re. "which code scanner?",
but I can't as yet find a definitive answer to my question, which is;
What code scanner works on an October 2008 ('58 reg, pre face-lift) Leon Cupra.I gather the 2008-on models used different coding, so while on the face of it, the highly rated Vgate VS450 should work, it also might only work to a degree,in a limited capacity.
That item is about £30 to £35 on ebay
Do I buy & chance it, & end up with something I'm not happy with (I asked the seller a question & he replied "works in limited capacity"), or do I need to find £169 for a Foxwell NT510, which I think will do everything (need to confirm);
Can anyone comment who knows please,hopefully someone will have one of the tools and shed some light on the matter.... it would be much appreciated.
I obviously don't want to spend £169, if a £35 tool will do the same thing, on the flip side I don't want to waste £35, say for example if I need to clear an airbag warning light only to find I need to buy the £169 tool after I've already got the £35 one, which maybe can't do it.You know what I mean....
Thanks
Jonathan.
