My Cupra was 2 years old a few days ago.
When I bought it new from Arnold Clark, I purchased their 3 year service plan.
I know now that the Roadside Assistance is extended for another year if you have a SEAT service plan and the service is booked online. AC's service plan and booking over the phone don't qualify.
Does anyone know if Roadside Assistance can be extended by paying SEAT for another year and has anyone done it?
I tried emailing customer services to find out and have had no reply and guess there won't be at the weekend.
My partner has a 3 year old Citigo and she was offered the chance to purchase an extra year breakdown cover from Skoda.

I’ve always booked over the phone and still got roadside assistance. It may be down to individual garages though. Previous threads about this suggest it varies.

When is your service due is it annually. If so, you could ask Arnold if he can include. And maybe pay the difference. Prob about £50 quid retail difference between ac service and seat fixed price.

i would try another dealer

my last service, i never booked on line and i didn't even ask about the roadside assistance yet it was included for no extra cost.

AC are typical for wriggling out of stuff like this.

The Arnold Clark services aren't done to the same standard as the manufacturers fixed price ones hence why they are cheaper. You only get the free breakdown cover if it's going through the system as and you pay for the seat manufacture service. Tbh I travel to an independent seat dealer to avoid Arnold Clark.

I got my 3 year service at my local dealers here in Norwich, this was arranged by visiting their premises, enquired as to whether the Roadside assistance would be included for another year and they said yes it would.
A week later after collecting the car after they'd done the service, I noticed a sticker had been fixed on the inside of the screen showing it had roadside assistance for 2018.

Couldn't be bothered waiting for a reply from Seat about whether or not I'm still covered for roadside assistance, so I've just purchased a year cover from a breakdown company.

Would the dealer you use be Duff Morgan? How are they for customer service, quality of work, etc? I live in Thetford and bought my 184FR from Cecil and Larter in Bury St. Edmunds, and automatically just booked them for it's first service. Whilst I was there, I asked the service guy (not on of the technicians) a few questions, and wasn't that confident with his replies, with the usual 'they all do that', quoting me completely the wrong prices for parts, etc.
This post has got me thinking, as my 184FR is on a longlife service plan, I wonder if my roadside assistance is for up to 2 years? I bet it isn't!

Hi there, yes it is Duff Morgan, I previously had a Peugot which led me to use them as they were the main dealer for them and could not fault them, since I had the Seat, they have in the past came to mine and picked up my Seat and left me a loan car if I couldn't get to them to pick one up. Also in the past they changed one rear tail light, no questions asked, when I've been into the showroom to query something, if the service guy wasn't sure he'd get the technician to come and explain it to me.
Had the Seat over three years now and must say I've always had 1st class service from Duff Morgan, "they seem to got that extra mile."
