2018 ST - disabling interior motion alarm

Hey, I took delivery on my new 2018 Leon ST FR 1.8 on Friday, trading in for a 2016 FR.

I have a dog and on the 2016 model, the only way to disable the interior alarm seemed to be pressing the lock button on the key twice.

In this model, I can see there is a new setting in the menu (Opening and closing -> Central locking) to deactivate the internal sensors, but I can see no mention in the user guide about being able to press the fob lock twice? Also it seems it reverts every time you unlock the car, which tbh is a pain in the arse over time..

Short of putting my beagle in the car and making him bounce around, can anyone else confirm if the "press lock key twice" trick still works?

Have a read of this one, I think the answer in the end was to cover the sensor.

Ah the old tape over the sensor trick. Fine, not the end of the world.

Might chuck the dog in for a few minutes anyway just to double check they haven't left the key feature on. However I'll probably need to wait until it isn't hotter than the sun so my poor pooch isn't turned into roast beagle in the process ...

You could always put the wife / girlfriend / mum in the car and try the double lock trick.

All I have seen is you have to do the double click quickly otherwise it does not work.

Not sure about the newer car but as I said in the above thread it looks like you can code it off if you have access to VCDS / OBD11
