I'm seeing an opportunity for led back lit SeatCupra.net stickers;
Comfort - Green (I like it slow and steady)
Sport - Orange (I might like hard and fast, but not sure if I should)
Individual - Blue (I know what I like and I like what I know)
Cupra - Red (Hard and Fast - can you keep up)

Any similarity to previous posts made on dating websites is purely coincidental!:fool:

Do you provide stickers on the first date so the lady / gentleman knows whats she/he is in for. :)

Not having a go at you but I cant understand people who don't instantly press every single button in their car as soon as they buy it to find out what it does:wtf: On the upside, you basically just got a free upgrade to your car after 2 years by finding that button:bleh: the car is a completely different beast in Cupra mode. Enjoy!
Panick ye not. Every button was pressed really. I just find Cupra mode too much fun to really consider the others.

Same as myself. The throttle becomes far to tempting to smash in Cupra mode. My only complaint is when I'm parking at my house and the steering is extremely heavy, I get lazy sometimes and bang it into Comfort just to get the parking done

I been having a tough time staying out of Cupra, but the trip through Norway in comfort mode was a epiphany - never thought I could get those consumption figures.
Now if only I managed to get bored of the Cupra power/mode... ;)

Just remember you are going to be that 600 hp old man so the getting bored of Cupra power/mode is just a bad dream

I've only had the car a couple of weeks, but so far it's been comfort the majority of the time. I'm really not a fan of the heavy steering in sport/Cupra and I much prefer the softer ride. I know I could use individual and change the "engine" to Cupra but I find mashing the throttle to the floor in comfort just as rewarding... it's not like Cupra mode makes more ponies! To each their own though.

Sorry you guys keep talking and i keep finding stuff.

For those of you who are into coding the cars, it is possible to set the steering permanently regardless of what mode you are in

Control Unit 44 - Steering Assistance
Adaptation
Characteristic curve of steering assistance

Driving profile selection button
Comfort
Dynamic
Automatic
Default
This can also be used for those without a mode button.

I have not tried this yet but see no reason why it wont work (on facelift cars)

I have also found you can turn on your power steering even when the engine is off (no idea how that works but it does)

Control Unit 44 - Steering Assistance.
Change Activation of pwr steering asst without engine running from not active to active.

Tried this and it does work.

Edit please note this change is very helpful when working on the car with no engine on but resets back to stock when your turn the ignition off.

Actually that first one, oddly enough, also affects the throttle and DCC stiffness.
I done it on my Octavia VRS (where I did not have a mode button) and liked it, but on the Cupra... I am not so sure.
Specially using Cupra mode after that change makes everything really heavy and suspension really hard.
Also, the throttle in Cupra mode becomes a bit too eager and when going full power it feels like the car chokes from over throttling.
Similar effects can be had from setting the engine to “Audi” mode - which is another mod I have mentioned here before I did to the Skoda too.

Similar i what way? Last i read about the Audi mod it sounded like it was a "must do" mod but are you saying it makes the steering too heavy, dampers too hard and that the throttle becomes weird? Doesn't sound all that good in that case.. Would be a shame since i was really looking forward to making that change.

Simple answer is make the change and see what happens, as we know there are differences between the pre and post facelift cars and I have seen lots of different feedback on lots of changes across the range (Skoda, Golf and Seat) so try it on your car and see how it works for you.

I did see that it changed all the settings but cant say I noticed the non steering stuff being changed i will give it another go later in the week to see and my new setup will notice the difference between Comfort and Cupra much more.
