Have had my Cupra 300 for just under a year and its been lovely! However, I have just had my order confirmation for a new XC60 T5 R Design and I'm excited.

I will miss the performance of the Cupra but the Volvo is a much nicer place to be (like 10x nicer IMO). The T5 is not slug (250bhp) and it will do me. I have never really been able to get the most out of the Cupra as I work away so much and it's my other half that drives it the most. We are also are planning on another child and the Cupra is just a bit too small for us.

I have a bit of a wait so the Cupra will be with me for a little bit yet.

What have other people on here moved on to from the SEAT Leon, or are planning to move on to?

There is one thing that may make me change my mind about the Volvo and cancel and that's the Cupra Ateca...

Incidentally, I'm also moving on to a Volvo in Dec. It's been Seat Leon Mk3 2.0TDI 150PS, to Seat Ibiza FR 1.0TSI 110PS, and next stop Volvo V40 1.5T T3 152PS. For me the City Weave Blonde upholstry is amazing. However the infotaintment system is a step back. I've been told lead times for my V40 is end Nov/early Dec. I just ordered it this week.

Oh Bursting Blue is a very nice colour too, since I had Alor Blue on my current car, ain't going for another blue, so it will be Luminious Sand Metallic for me.

I plan (in two years) to move onto an estate car. I've always liked them, should have bought one this time around really. The likes of an RS6 are unfortunately out of my reach but serious contenders are the Cupra 300 ST DSG 4Drive, the spec would have to be right though.

And the Volvo V60 Polestar! not a Polestar blue one but a black or silver one to keep up the incognito of it, proper sleeper of a car that has enormous spec. And Volvo seats are amazingly comfortable. :)

Would also consider a Skoda Superb 280 Sportline, bit of a sleeper too to the untrained eye.

As a current employee for Volvo... I can say you've made a good choice, lovely car. But hope you got a service plan as the service costs are near double compared to many other brands !

Can always get the polestar software to get a little more go and improve the gearbox ( very slow compared to dsg )

Enjoy the car

I'm hoping that some point next year I may be in a position to upgrade my fr to the cupra 300 st 4 drive. Like the op, we do have plans to expand the family some more so the extra space will come in handy and please the wife whilst to 4 wheel drive and extra power will be more up my street, win win.

The other options I've considered are focus rs or s3 saloon. I like a lot of the audi s line estates but the cupra comes in at similar money with more power, often more options and 4 wheel drive so it's a but of a no brainer for me. Rs6 avant would be ideal but that's a whole different level.

There's nothing in our market to tempt me away yet. I saw NZ's only Cupra R, but it's manual and $NZ72,000, I've got enough dosh tied up in vehicles without that.
But I have to say that driving my wife's Arona around town is a lot of fun without risking go to jail speeds at the twitch of a toe. The little bugger is so rumbly and willing that it feels quickish.

BMW M2 next hopefully. Second hand - although finance deals are good, it’s a lot of money to throw in and have nothing to show for it after 4 years.

The RS6 is all things to all men if you could only have one car for the rest of time and money was no problem, unfortunately for 99% of the population money is the main constraint. Can quite easily get and RS6 at £100k plus on Audi's configurator with their options :scary:. Nice to dream every now and then though. I do often wonder how I would use the extra 300bhp!

My brain can't comprehend the power and speed of a 2 tonnes plus estate car that has twice as much power as my car because my car still manages to scare the s##t out of me on occasion!

He has quite a few times scared the s##t out of me in it. I was even given the chance of driving it when the most powerful car I’d ever driven was 105bhp. Needless to say when I saw his wife and 4yo son in the back, I declined.

Sensible choice, there is a time and a place and if you had driven it like the stig and not binned it his wife probably would have gone mental at you :help:

Looks like an overwhelming vote for the Cupra but what was I to expect from a SEAT enthusiasts forum haha!

I love the SEAT but I'm personally way more excited to get the Volvo!

Audi RS6 has been and still is my dream car. I will have one on my drive one day. Don't care if its ownership, financed PCP or leased.

I was also very close to getting an M2 a few months ago but changed my mind after deciding we wanted another baby. Once I've got my wedding out of the way I would like to get hold of an M2 Competion as my car and my partner can have the volvo. I took out the M140i shadow edition at the same time as testing the old M2 and to be fair performance wise (straight line) there wasn't really any difference. But to me the 10/12k price increase for an M2 is justifiable just for the way it looks and sounds. The exhaust sound compared to the M140i was leagues apart IMO.

Sorta need to go test drive the Rs3 and A45 Amg next to get proper comparison.

Hopefully oil prices continue to rise so I can keep my job offshore and continue to enjoy my 'money pit' car hobby.

Funnily enough I've just come from a Volvo V70 to the Seat Leon ST Cupra. While the interior does not feel the same quality, I just love the power I have now at my disposal.

With the V70, I experienced first hand that the maintenance fees can get high with Volvos.

I personally am more of a fan of the bigger cars and love the m4 as opposed to the 2, especially now with the little man, small cars are a thing of the past. I've always been a massive fan of audi estates, there's just something about them. I do also love a v8 which works heavily in the rs6s favour.

I'm going off my idea of a V60 Polestar if i'm gonna have my pants pulled down for an oil change ;)
We've just spent over £800 on new discs and pads all round on the company 'hack'.......although to be fair it is a V70 T6 AWD

Think the Polestar has 370mm 6 pot brembo’s. It’ll be cheaper to train to be a mechanic

My Cupra has 380 6 pot brakes - granted not Brembo but hey they stop the car very quickly.

As with all cars its about finding the garage that does the right thing for the right price.
Brakes and Tyres keep you alive, if you use the power (and the brakes) you pay the price.

But as you also know from your DSG Service there are lots of different prices to pay for same service.

The lease on my Leon FR 150bhp DSG is up March and I've been trying to order a Cupra (or another FR) as a replacement. No dice.

Going today to look at the new Ford Focus ST-Line X. Looks like I may be leaving SEAT ownership soon too. A shame they don't seem able to build cars in a timely manner. You'd think 6 months would be adequate!
