I've just been quoted £162 to update my 2012 Leon SatNav maps (That's excluding labour). I've noticed that Seat themselves give the option to download the maps but it states that only official Seat SD cards will work. Now is this just a marketing scheme to get people to buy the part or just i get any decent brand SD card (Like Kingston) and use that?

As far as I know they are secure one time use cards. Having said that. You can get em off eBay for a quarter of that price. I have the rns315 and just search eBay for rns315 SD card. Think v9 was the latest I installed. But I'll double check.

I don't understand how they could be single use, surely you could just image an original card and smash out ten thousand copies ??
