Does the lift pump in the tank on the ibiza tdi run continuously while engine is running

i thought it was just a primer pump then the tandem took over wen it was running

Nah it primes at first then switches on full time once the engine is running.

Ok fair enough mines buggered then lol time for a strip and overhaul pain in the arse thanks for the reply.

No a lack of diesel, tandem pump failed so replaced that can only be in tank pump all fuel lines are clear filter new, ive got another pump i do it tomorrow
