Hi

Hope someone can help.
I have a 2.0 190ps 68 plate Leon FR. I bought a ramair induction kit they say fits, (JSK-121)and am fitting it. But don't know what this is. It's on the big pipe coming from the airbox to the turbo . There's no mention of what it is or what to do with it in the ramair instructions.

Ok so after a bit of googling, turns out it's the mass air flow air meter sensor. In the ramair kit/there's nowhere to attach this and no mention of it in the instructions.

I disconnected the sensor and car seems to run ok. Do I need it attached?

You very much need it connected, the car will run without it but it will revert back to a safe preset table!

It's this sensor that measures how much air and the temperature of it that's entering the engine!

And a quick Google of that part number shows its for the Cupra's and 1.8Fr, all of which don't use a MAF!

Bugger. theres no where on the ramair kit to fit this. I guess they sent me the wrong one....

yeahh i googled the part. its on a 2.0 petrol 190ps (the one that replaced the 1.8)

I'd guess they sent the correct one, it's just the newer 2.0 FR uses a Maf now, from what I can see they don't do one for the 2.0 yet! Nightmare!

If your thinking of selling however I'd be interested! Lol

Mate, if its no good itll be going back to Ramair for a full refund lol.
I even had a email convo with Ramair before buying it, as the 2.0L isnt listed on their site. They had me send multiple photos of the engine, and they said the JSK-121 would fit. Gutted, as today is my only day off for weeks and all Ive managed to do is fit spacers lol.

Now that's a bit ****, especially after sending photos, what a let down!

Been a pretty crappy experience all round with Ramair tbh. Ordered Wednesday and paid for next day delivery and took 2 days. Emailed them about it, no replies. Tried phoning and they don't pick up.

Looks like the MAF is part of a housing .I've racked my brains but can't see any way it can be fitted to the ramair .Hopefully they reply toy email Monday .If not, they are only 40 mins from me, so I'll pop up there .
