The Matt/shiney is the actual silver bit in the middle, the Carbon is gloss, I’m taking the fake leather off the original knob (already have as a trial run) and swapping it for the carbon bits off the new one.

Think I ordered shiney though lol

Making the Carbon a unique beast!! Look forward to seeing it again

Can’t have these ST R’s spoiling my thunder lol

Although finding out increasing the rear camber is beneficial to the handling as well as the front means I’ll be having the rear adjusted to complement the front camber. :)

So I got home to a package at 6.30, by 6.35 it was fitted :D

As it was far enough away from my carbon fibre paddle extensions, I wasn’t too worried about it matching, but it’s bang on and match’s then nicely :)

Hey man
Looked thru the whole thread. Such a nice looking beast!
But you need to share where you found the Cupra R front bumper? :D

Thanks!

As for the R bumper, it’s not full bumper, the Cupra R has the same main part as the carbon and the normal 300. It’s just it has extra bits attached (splitter) or different bits (intake inserts) to make it look more aggressive.

It’s whether you are willing to pay £1,000 for a splitter?

I assumed it would be expensive. And confirmed it with my local seat guy. But to be honest, im more interested in the intake inserts.
Based on what you're saying above, I could order just the bits (intake) and put on my Cupra 300 standard bumper as is?
If so I would be glad if you colud give me some kind of partnumber.

Thanks for the reply!

So I swapped the black trim on the gearknob for the chrome one. The black, chrome and CF was jarring. Ideally I’d like it all black but it would mean properly dismantling it, but it looks better than the mix...

Today the not so old girl had its first service at VAG Manchester.

So it got treated some other shiney bits too...

Eibach Sportlines and 034 Motorsport Dynamic top mounts. The ride height is perfect, just needs 10mm spacers all round now to complement it. Wheel alignment first though.

Photos for comparison, before at top. After at bottom...

Since the car has settled got a better comparison shot. Just needs a wheel alignment and spacers now. Wheel alignment proving to be a challenge, as my first choice don’t want to know as it’s lowered and my 2nd choice (as it’s 1 hour away) is booked up for 6 weeks.

The ride height is perfect I think.

Rear end sits down better. More of a hunkered down look.

Impressed
