Get a Carista dongle. £10-15 on Amazon, download the app and start a trial, cancel it but reap the benefits.

Can turn it off completely or down

I’ve already got it and enabled what I need and disabled what I don’t need but the car is still quiet.

hence why I am thinking off getting the resonator removed but the guys said I would benefit more if I get the back box removed as well .. what you reckon?

You will have to wave if you see a mystery blue Cupra 290 on a GY plate as i'm also based in Shrewsbury.

Back on topic. I tried Cupra mode out properly for the first time since picking the car up, it sounds alot like there is a small child behind the dash doing their best impression of a race car! Definitely going to need to look into getting it disconnected/turned off.

Have yet to see a mystery blue Cupra in Shrewsbury! But will give you a wave if I see you, mines a monsoon grey SC

I had my soundaktor set on 30% which sounded pretty good. Not overly intrusive.

Just here to say, used your guide to physically disable the Soundaktor and am very pleased with the result... Although it has convinced me even more to pull the trigger on a res delete!

Well pulled the plug on mine and now Carista says so.

I posted it in the Carista forum said something like chassis frame noise etc

Fortunately I didn’t have to fiddle about with physically unplugging it I deactivated it via carista instead

I've recently picked up my first Cupra 290 and have followed the instructions at the start of the thread.

I've managed to get through to the box but it feels like its glued down and I've been unable to disconnect it. I'm not sure if there's something I'm doing wrong?

you'd be better off spending £15 on the carista dongle and disabling it through the software instead. I did it, took me 5 seconds. also if you wanted to you can change the volume if you don't want it completely disabled
