So I recently recieved the MaxtonDesign rear diffuser for the face lift 300 mk3. No manual, no mounting kit despite when purchasing (8 weeks ago) it would include both items. Call up and apparently it just bonds to the current rear bumper, slots over what's there, I go to do this and it doesnt line up. The gills on the original bumper do not line with the new one and after further investigation it appears it would fit the pre face lift bumper. However, on their website this diffuser is definitely shown to be on a face lift model but if I were to try the plastic would bend. I am told it most certainly doesnt replace the existing and is just "bonded" on. This is ludicrous and doesnt make sense and apparently I am the first person to say this after a year of them selling it. I can 100% say this does not measure at all. Has anyone else come across this??? See pic attached and clearly not the measurements of the 300 rear diffuser. . .

Is that the new diffuser in the pic? That’s not one I’ve seen before.

As far as I’m aware you strip off the original one and fit it in it’s place it doesn’t go over it . Someone fitted there’s today on the mk3 owner on fb

Yea this is the new diffuser in the pic. I can only assume by comments below the original diffuser needs to come off and this one fitted.

Have you taken the rear bumper off or just trying to pull it out in situ.

I have .managed to get diffuser off now without taking bumper off. Was a mission but manage it. Now just getting some screws to make some new holes as the middle section doesnt match where the original holes are etc.
