• Hey Guest👍👎 We're looking for reviews of your local CUPRA or SEAT Dealership - it's quick and easy to do: Leave a review now
And if you fancy a weekend away a number of us are staying in a hotel the night before for a glass or two of beer and lots of food and car chat :)

As @Maypack has been nice about my car I should also point out he has the best color red car that Seat have made.
Not sure about the red, white is the front runner. Mind you, not seen the red in the flesh, just in photos. Shame the blue is no longer an option.

As I said... some very knowledgable people on this forum and @theoldboy is a personal friend of mine who has a Beast of a Cupra which is a Beaut.

As said come along to our next meet at Doncaster for some ideas of stock cars up to Stage 3+ modified cars. May be a long journey for you but well worth it.

Thanks for the offer but that's a bit of a stretch to attend a car meet for me, without even owning the theme of the meet. If I buy one, that might change.

Is there anywhere on the forum that notifies members of regional meets? Surrey, Sussex or Kent are ideal for me.

Welcome to the forum, I have a 290 hatch and it’s a great car. However, it is leased and when it goes back I will he buying a 300 ST. It’s a very capable car and not many people know how quick they can be, the 4Drive system on the ST would make it even more useable on the road.

22.5k is a great price, how have you managed to get it for so cheap?

There is a section for local meets but as I’m on my phone I can’t link to them

The Red doesn’t look the best colour with the Copper Badging imo. With the Chrome/Silver I like it

White and Magnetic Grey both look good with the Copper though.

I've read about this potential coking problem before I think. Is it to do with the fuel being injected directly into the cylinder?

Is this really progress, having to de-coke a modern engine? I used to do this to a franchise's back in the 80s!

How serious an issue is it? Whether I buy the Hundy or SEAT, it will only be doing around 6000 miles per year and I'd be keeping it long term, around five years.
The ST remains a 300 though...

No its not progress its VW Being caught short on WLTP after the Diesel cheating. It wont be a problem for the first set of owners but in years to come we will see more of this. My local garage was moaning about this last week, he thought he had left this issue well behind.

So, would this coking issue affect resale value or servicing costs in 5 years or 30k miles do you think?

Thanks for the welcome. The rates are through my employer and every so often they go overboard on some really spectacular savings!

Crystal Ball time, Don't expect it will cost anything on the Service cost in that time frame but with the push across Europe for so called cleaner cars will make them more in demand than old dirty cars like mine. However as the Leasing (in all its forms) now seems to be part of the car buying fabric I suspect that second hand cars don't hold the value like they used to - regardless of brand.

It actually changes colour depending on the amount of sunlight. I was sceptical at first but I love it now.

Here’s the same colour with the Copper Badging for comparison.

Thanks again, the red looks even better in those photos. I guess the badging colour isn't an option!
