So officially I can say after 9 days and head scratching she is home :)

9 days! What was wrong with her?

Glad she's finally home, I was thinking about your new car yesterday....

A big end bearing was starting to wear but luckily it was caught in time before it scratched the crankshaft, I also had a new DV and camfollower put it at the same time.

Hope it was good thoughts haha

All this just so you can go to a rolling road meet :) Glad it's all sorted and back on the road.

Yeah, good catch. Good call, I'm currently doing the cam follower with the service every year (cause of remap). It's due December so I'll see what wear I've got on it this time round.

Unfortunately (fortunately for me) about 5000 a year. I changed the last one after 6 months and it looked brand new!

Hi mate

Dont want to worry you but the exact same happened to mine

They fitted new big end bearings to mine and less than 1000mile later after having it tuned , the new bearings got destroyed taking my oil pressure along with it

Resulting in a fully forged engine rebuild

Took the old crank to a refurb place and they said it had slightly ovaled causing damage to the new bearings due to the oil not being monitored by previous owners and them running it low damaging it

Id double check that the garage who done them for you measured the crank journals

I was absolutely heart broken when i pulled over with an engine rattling like an empty paint can

The garage that did it and a bag specialist and Revo retailer and they brought in an engineer to inspect the full crank shaft
