Hi All,

Just wondering whether the collective can provide some insight into whether this can be done on my model or whether its now a cat back system? / Is it worth doing??

I've been reading a lot on this forum and the general internet and have got myself a little lost as to whether it can be done to improve the sound of the car or whether its no longer possible...

I note that Vagsport offer a kit, however there seems to be conflicting info on whether it fits a MY20 car...

Any advice, tips are appreciated!!

You will Love your new car when it arrives, but will sound **** lol.. If your car was 2017 than you can buy a resdelete pipe for not much money. But we have got 2 GPF filters in the downpipe area 2019 onwards which takes a way all the sound. So Your only options to gain better sound is to buy a new CAT back system, wont make your car loud just a nicer note. Or best bet is get a custom CAT back system and don't have the 2 back boxes, so its just a straight though pipe with your chosen tail pipes. Or if money no problem than you can now get a Performance downpipe and CAT and that will remove the GPF filters but that's not road legal. Systems to look for are. Remus, Milltek, Jedesign, not sure if there anymore companies doing systems for New ST yet

Thanks - that makes sense and what i was struggling to work out. The car will be a 2020 car, although still a mk3 so guess i’ll look at other options...

Get a JB4 tuning box. best 500 you can spend on your car

Cheers Adrian 300 - I'm looking at all options and back box delete is one....Just over a week to go until it arrives, then i'll put some miles on it and see what to go for...

Had to cut the original pipe on section but use sleeve clamp so easy to get back factory finish without welding.golf and cupra same shaped boxes just inside different. Need to cut the bumper trim but i can give you mine so you can save your original one.cost me a new £110. exhaust £250 in cash.

I’ve just been reading that thread...useful to know.
I pick the car up next weekend, want to get it and hear it for myself...this could defo be an option though!
