Gave the car a clean and took it for a jolly good spin after had been sat in the drive since March.
As some of you know I have the car delivered right at the start of March, just when lockdown was happening. Then as we started coming out of lockdown and able to go out again, I had some surgery on my shoulder. So the car had literally done nothing from end of March, up until about a week ago.
But it’s clean now so I’m trying to decide where is best to place the forum badge on the car. I have a Cupra 290 so no Cupra flag on the back and don’t want to offset the symmetry on the back by placing it where the flag would have been.
Open to suggestions?!

Fitted the R600 intake (cotton filter), with the coolant underhose and racingline turbo muffler delete. Also MST turbo inlet. Looks really clean. The sound is spot on, best part is half throttle I can clearly hear the DV now! Butt dyno is telling me that there are some gains higher in the rev range. KW gauge reads 11KW higher. Not exactly sure when I'll visit a dyno, maybe in a few months but all that matters is that I love it. :giggle:

How about the coding? Did you get new unit coded to car or is this plug and play?

If you've got the 5.8" screen you can still upgrade to either a 6.5 or 8.
This guy sells the units and they're coded for plug and play.

Yeah my unit seems to be MIB1 so 5.8" so probably more work to get this upgraded than when you have 6.5"

If it has the line like this then its the 5.8"
That guy sells the 6.5" upgrade which is relatively easy to install. It's an MIB2 unit so will be faster and give you Full Link.

Not quite today, but last weekend. The car's first proper clean in a couple of years! (Nearly 5 years old)
-Thorough wash and quick wheel clean then onto the bodywork.
-Used the new Turtle Wax products. Ceramic Polish and Wax ( machine polish) followed up with the Ceramic Spray Coating (2 coats). All applied exactly as directed on the product.
I'm not one of those who love cleaning cars, but this was pretty easy and looks good. 150 miles of driving in rain during the week and nothing stuck to it, which is nice. I'll be interested to see how durable the finish is.

Had the A/c serviced. Nearly 5 years old now, so a bit of preventative maintenance to avoid the expensive repair bill I've had on previous VAG cars.

Total cost £33, time taken 20 minutes.

Used StayKool (South West Derby), Highly recommended.(y)

Easy online booking, turn up and the system is degassed, refrigerant weighed (400g remaining from the original 500g), system tested, vacuum applied to remove moisture and crud then refilled with refrigerant, UV dye and oil.

Had my FR184 for 3.5 years now.
After saying I'd get a stage 1 remap after 1 year, finally got around to it this week.

177bhp and 376nm stock
219bhp and 456nm stage 1

Makes a huge difference and feels like a new car now
