Hi, i am hoping someone might be able to help me with an issue i have with my aircon on a 2017 Leon ST 1.4 with automatic climate control

It stopped blowing cold air about 3 months ago and i took it in to the dealership for repair under warranty. But as i have an aftermarket subwoofer hooked in to the 12v accessory fuse in the glove box they have basically said they wont cover it under warranty (my own stupid fault for not removing it first ?‍♂️)

Anyway they did recharge the system, which i had to pay for and also replaced the high pressure sensor but still no luck.

I have scanned it using Carista and have the following faults and wondered it anyone had any ideas. I have checked the fuses in the glove box but wondered if it may be the Air Quality Sensor, or if there was anything else i should check out?

Thanks in advance

Unbelievable:mad: . So presumably everyone who has a hardwired dashcam also has 'invalidated the warranty' ? It would be interesting to hear their reasoning for an aftermarket sub having any impact on an aircon issue.
If you've got one within a reasonable distance, I be tempted to take it to another dealership (maybe unhook the sub first).

There argument was that my sub was wired into the same fuse as the air con, even though I know for a fact it is wired in to the 12v accessory fuse.

They claim that as soon as anything is changed from the original wiring that they can’t claim back from seat as a warrant claim

That was a very disappointing HVAC fault code interpretation from Carista - I'd be contacting them about that one!

Have you tried stuffing that fault code 262658 into a search engine to see what it really means, Carista will normally/always extract the correct fault code number, but some times they have not yet done the leg work to convert that into the proper meaning.

Edit:- does this help at all - https://mhhauto.com/Thread-golf-mk7-climatronic-doesnt-work-SOLVED

That's a load of rubbish, they are just fobbing you off! Can't you name and shame the dealer, i'm sure there is an organisation that you can complain to.

Thanks RUM4MO, I checked the air quality sensor, and picked up a second hand one from a breaker online and have replaced it. Also checked the humidity sensor behind the rear view mirror, and the connector to this wasn't seated property so I removed and refitted. I'm not sure if this would affect the running of the AC, but from what I can gather they all work together to control the HVAC.

Anyway I took it for a drive, reset the codes and checked again and they haven't came back on yet so fingers crossed!

It was "Specialist" Cars Seat Dundee. To be honest, I have been there a couple of times with minor warranty issues before and they have been a nightmare every time. There sales side is not much better either from my experience.

I'm going to draft a letter to them requesting a refund of the re-charge of the air-conditioning although not holding my breath.

My next nearest dealership is Fife Seat who I've read good things about on here, so I might try them next time.

I would recommend Fife Seat, worth a-wee drive down from Dundee area.
Specialist Cars- John Clark group?.

Hi
Did you sort out your problem? My compressor does not turn on. Checked for voltage at pressure switch & air quality sensor. Measured batt voltage on supply and around 10v signal voltage. Checked voltage at compressor and only reading around 5v. I have had the system re gassed and it was low but level ok now. Only measuring around 4 volts at compressor so not sure its that? I do not have any diagnostic software just wondering if this would show anything up? Any help appreciated.

Thanks

I think that Carista or VCDS etc would reveal a logged HVAC fault code which should help you sort this out - I'd hope, without doing that you are just guessing.
