Thanks fella's, replacing the Leon was more difficult than I imagined! I had quite a few boxes to tick, including a car that Mrs Rooster would be happy driving. I tried a whole range of cars, Arona,
Ateca, Karoq, Golf Estate, Passat Estate, Octavia, T-Cross, T-Roc, A3 etc etc. After all that the two cars that I felt comfortable with were the Focus Active X and Kia Xceed ISG3, so I sat back, thought about it and went with the Kia, as an overall package it was hard to beat, so much kit, nicely finished and mega warranty. The engine is a 1.4 t-GDi 140hp and it feels very much like the Leon's ACT engine did, loads of low down pull but gets a bit noisy higher up the rev range. The hundred mile journey home showed just below 50mpg as well. Early days so fingers crossed, if this turns out to be anywhere near as good as the Leon was over four years I will be happy! Regards, Rooster.
