After a particularly wet drive I noticed that my headlamp dash light stayed on when leaving the car. It's not full brightness but rather half brightness. I made sure everything was switched off. Does this sound like a known problem or an indicator for something?

Incidentally the boot open light stayed on too before finally going off after several firm closes.

I've had the car for 18 years and not had any issues previously.

My cluster stays illuminated after I lock the car. My loom coming through the firewall had a broken seal and water had got to the relay area and formed some **** on the back of the gauge board. Worth checking to see if you have a leaky loom cover as the electrics are all below that

Checked the car once we had some dryish weather. All the dash lights were behaving as expected so must have been due to the particularly wet weather.

I always cursed the Seat's crappy weatherproofing.
I assumed it was something to do with the dry Spanish weather.
If so, my mates with VWs and Audis, assure me that Germany has the climate of the Sahara.
