Afternoon all,

I have posted a couple of times but as I have now had confirmation of my order. I thought I better introduce myself properly.

I currently drive a 2018 BMW Shadow Edition 1-Series. The Formentor VZ2 310ps DSG will be the first car I have ever leased (I got stuck in PCP and would never do it again).

I live about an hour East of Bristol and was wondering if any of you go to Caffeine and Machine? I have been slowly introducing my friends and we have been going up together, would be great to get a group of Formentors to go, as they are still quite rare and I imagine they would get a lot of attention!

May I ask, what happened when you say you got "stuck in a PCP"?

You down by the coast?

I went into the deal too quick. My previous car had been written off and as I got my payment, my hire car period ran out so we would have been without a car. PCP is hard to get out of. Instantly in negative equity for at least a few years until the settlement figure balances out with the resale value.

I bought the car for £19,500 less than 2 years ago, they offered me £12,800 to buy it back in February... mint condition with ceramic coating. They have lower spec cars on their website, with loads more miles for £18,500. As soon as they have you, they try to keep you.

I know you have the option to use the equity when you give the car back, which is a positive over leasing, but I would much rather lease for the price!

Oh ok, we have a '20 Fiesta on PCP with GFV of £4400 at the end of 4 years, hopefully just buy it outright at the end and the Arona we are looking at now, similar payment to the Fiesta but a slightly bigger car and all that

Yeah I am only complaining about PCP as I want to get out of it early as I have ordered the Formentor haha.

I have had offers up to £16k to sell to someone like WBAC, I will check this again in October and if they offer me enough to clear my remaining finance, i'll sell it to them. Fingers crossed.
