Greetings All!

I carried an old can full of patio and driveway sealant to the dump the other day and it leaked all over the floor of the luggage compartment and now I can't get rid if the smell!!!:cry:

The luggage floor panel slides out of course, made of fibreglass covered in black material. A sticker on the back has a part number 5F9 858 855 with the maker's name "Borgers".

Does anyone have recommendations please as to where I can get a replacement (used or otherwise)? An internet search came up with one or two but they're either abroad or very expensive.

Thanks All so far!
I've filled out an enquiry form on the Seat Motor Parts website (they don't do phone quotes for parts not listed on their website). No reply today but hopefully tomorrow. I have a feeling it won't be cheap!

Meanwhile I've shampooed the life out of my luggage floor panel to see if I can de-pong it. The stuff that leaked had a very strong solvent smell - a bit like white spirit/paraffin - and my first treatment of detergent soon after the spillage got a lot of the actual stuff out of the fabric but sadly not the smell. Two more treatments and a hosing down still didn't do it.

Today I tried neat laundry liquid which has a smell all of its own and hosed it down again. I've left the thing outside all day in the sunshine and will leave it outside again tomorrow. What is great is that the fabric itself looks like it's survived! I did have to use a "de-bobbler" on it to restore the finish (it's a little shaver you use to take the bobbles out of knitwear) as it looked very bobbly after the scrubbing I gave it. Fingers crossed but if the smell doesn't go then I'm getting a new one
