Hi everyone,

Does anyone else have an issue in Android Auto where it doesn't hear any voice commands?

I can either activate by holding down the button on the steering wheel or by saying 'OK google' (which for some reason it is able to detect). But then after this whatever I say is not detected.

Anyone else experienced this and managed to fix it?

Yes I do, i have a 2020 leon fr first edition and I'm using Samsung Note 5 ( both car and phone and android auto all up to date as far as I know.

I just thought it was me , hopefully a fix is out there .....

Did you ever get a fix ?

Cheers.

No I never figured a fix out. It's definitely an issue with the car - I'm currently using a Kia hire car and the voice commands in android auto work fine.

My car was in a couple of weeks ago for three days for Seat to run tests on various software/ waring issues ive had in clouding this android issue and the courtesy car I had was a Leon and the voice commands worked and I showed the service manager so he's sending details of my car and courtesy car back to seat and I await their response and will update you once I hear from them.

Did they ever figure out why it worked in one car but not the other? I'm still having this issue

No , still does not work. Dealer doesn't understand why either. All they can tell me is that it's all rolled into a major software issue / upgrade across the full VAG range of cars using this new infotainment / software upgrade that they are working on but do not yet have an availability of. I've also opened a case with Seat Customer Care and I am in communication with a case manager about all the infotainment / software issues I'm experiencing with my car and await their reply.

I think the first edition is pain for the seat as this car is full on with issues. (freezing infotainment screen, sos issue, acc issue, blurry or pixilated reverse camera, parking system issue, front assist issue) some of it has been patched in major software update in service but most of it still waiting for patch if that ever get released ?
