Bike rack for estate

Hi all, I'm hoping to get back into the SEAT Leon family (owned 2 Cupras about 10-15 years ago).

Want to get a MK3 estate but can't find a definitive answer as to whether you can fit a rear mounted 3-bike rack (not tow bar).

Hoping someone will know!

I didn't risk it with mine and got roof bars. The weight of two moden mountain bikes (29er) would be to close to the limit for a hatch mounted rack. Roof bars are far more safer and secure.

Cheers, got a box and bars for the roof as we have a dog in the boot now hence need another way to transport the bikes. I think towbar is the only option, as much as it pains me to pay an absolute fortune for it when I may be selling the car on in a couple of years ??
