Heated seat shortcut

Activating the heating seats is always a pain and potentially dangerous on the move. So I've been using the voice assist to turn them on, however that's always a bit hit and miss.
Today I was reading an article on the Top Gear website about the MK8 golf and that said you could activate the heated seats by touching the hot and cold ends of the heating slider controls using two fingers at the same time. Just tried it in my Leon and it also works perfectly.

Makes it much easier. Now they just need to improve the rest of the interface.

I know, it's such a pain. This only happened because everyone was trying to do a Tesla.
My old Skoda Superb had physical buttons which were safe and easy to use on the move. Skoda also thought to illuminate them too which was genius thinking.

I know, at the moment after dark it is pure guesswork. Can't believe that the mighty VAG group developed a whole new infotainment system but forgot to test it in the dark

My Honda doesn’t have these problems, no heated seats, just fart and wriggle!

When the car voice control learns your use/voice etc it is not a bad system.
This may sound sarcastic to some but no offence intended. We all know the whole point of voice control is to ensure drivers are still looking forward with hands on the wheel. Yes the system still needs improvement but it works fine for me, and I prefer that to finger prints all over the screen. I believe switches, touchscreens will become irrelevant in the future and I believe the Health & Safety police will ensure touchscreens are “locked” when on the move.
My mate has everything voice controlled in his house such as lights, heating, TV, radio and I haven’t heard him say “I want my light switch illuminated”.
Just my opinion folks.
Now back on topic and my heated seats work fine to the point they have learned to switch themselves on when the car interior is cold, around 8 degrees. When I want them off or turned down I just tell the car.

Didn’t know that. Now I get instances like yours where voice control is not a feature, but then they should illuminate controls, but it beggars belief when they do in one country but not in another. Could it be coded ?

At least they could have given the choice of voice control in english even if all the rest is in a different language.
