Hello everyone, my car is 2009 Seat Ibiza IV 1.2 (60 Hp). It has been consuming too much oil lately and there is no white smoke coming out of it. Yesterday while I was driving the car started losing power, at the time it had low oil and I was traveling to another city until I reached a gas station I was able to buy more oil.
And it had at the time ticking sound.

Mileage/kms?
How much is it consuming
If it is not manageable by toping up the engine needs to be open and checked

Had Same issues on a `09 Ibiza IV 1.2 70 HP.
I didn`t noticed the anything until I started hearing some mechanical noises at ignition and High revs. Turns out it`s the engine chain due to lack of oil not lubricating. Took the car to a Mechanic who suggested me to use WD40 oil as it is thicker and more difficult for the engine to consume.

Check for oil leaks. Place a Carboard box under the Engine at night and see if you notice any drops in the morning.

No oil leak, my mechanic says that it is somehow normal, the engine is a bit old (160000 Km) and is a classic treat of these small 1.2 Volkswagen engines
