Guys, as
@toshvmax said,
forget the silicone for the rubbers, this is just part of the
problem!
I tried solving the creaking this way for months and years on end, but they returned sooner and sooner with time.
The MAIN CAUSE is the GREASE of the
GUIDE RAILS for the roof! The rubbers are there to provide the necessary sealing, but also the play in your roof when the body flexes. If the rails are not properly greased, they will prevent said play, resulting in creaks when the body flexes.
Proceed as follows: open sunroof completely --> clean the (reachable and largest part of the)
guide rails and tiliting mechanism with a rag and some isopropyl alcohol or something, and re-grease with a fine pencil for example, using white PTFE grease --> open and close the roof a few times to distribute the newly applied grease -->
problem solved for the next few years!
