Model Year 21/22 Formentor Android Auto

I'm looking to change my formentor to the newest face-lift model, however, after trawling through the cupra website and specs, I noticed it said wireless apple car play, wired android auto. Can anyone confirm the android auto is wired only?

As my current 2022 formentor is wireless android auto, if they have gone wired. It's a huge step back imo. Especially for a new model.

The spec for all Formentor's says the same thing. However, they do connect wirelessly, but full link requires a wired connection I believe.

I have Formentor 2022 & I have xiomi cell phone & I can't connect to the car wifi + using the android auto wireless.
my sone has an iphone & he is able to connect to the car's wifi + wireless car play any idea why?

I've got a 2025 and can confirm its wireless. Its instant connection too as I use it for Spotify and the maps!

It's an eSim, more than likely integrated within the telematics or infotainment control module.
