Drivers seat base repair

Hi all. Does anyone know part number for the driver's seat base cover ? I was quoted £200 plus VAT for the repair , and I was wondering if it will be cheaper to get new part from Seat.

There are lots of upholstery variants for different trims and different model years. Car's VIN is needed to find the exact part number. If you don't mind send it over to me via PM and I'll look it up for you from the official parts catalog.

Hi. Thank you for your message. I will check VIN number tomorrow, if it helps for now , it's half cloth half leather I'm guessing standard trim for FR, 2016 Leon FR Estate 1.4 ECO TSI.

Parts catalog lists the upholstery items by interior trim code, not by model's trim name like FR, Excellence or anything like that. But my previous car was an '18 FR and judging by the photo you attached, it had the same interior trim so I can use its VIN to find the part number now but even that could lead to buying an incorrect part because of the model year difference. Parts are always improved, upgraded, updated constantly so the exact part number can change from a year to the next. So I'd say we better wait for tomorrow.

All I need TBF is to see what will work cheaper , new part plus fitting or getting my seat repaired. If you are willing to use your car VIN just to check the price of new cover for me it will be more than enough. If it is cheaper than repair I will send you my VIN tomorrow to make sure I buy correct cover.Once again thank you for your time.

Just pasted 5F0881406ETQMP on Google and it looks like it costs £248...more than seat padding... Appreciate your help and your effort to help.
