Hi all,

I did a quick search and only found a reference for a Grommet in the Firewall a Seat Leon.

I am hoping to find a factory installed and existing grommet, in the passenger side (RH Drive) footwell area of a 2024 Cupra Ateca VZx.

Need to run one cable into engine bay, can anyone please assist with a location, before I pull the whole car apart to look ?

Cheers in advance...

Hey mate - im having this dilemma also - were u able to sus out where the grommet was?
Hi Rixx, no I didn't... however I did feel the backside (in cabin) of the grommet almost directly forward of the Fuse Box.

When you remove the Glovebox completely, you will see that you can unclip the fuse/relay panel from its housing and gently move it towards you... then you can get a bit closer to the firewall.. putting your hand up and behind the unclipped loom and fuse panel, you can follow the wiring loom to the grommet.

You can not see it and you can only feel the bottom of the loom and lower section of the Grommet.

I didn't want to go any further, so I gave up.

You would need to remove Car Battery, the ABS module/Pump to see it from Engine Bay...

There is a good chance that Grommet, is screwed in with fasteners and real tight, so passing another wire (cable tie/coat hanger/plastic Removal tool) through the grommet, is not something I wanted to do without full visibility of what I was doing.

I ended up finding an Ignition Source in the Relay Box... that gave me enough amperage and I used a Piggyback Fuse Tap, to power the Remote Dashcam Battery.

Potentially you could get through the front guard, but that was full of insulation... or use a grommet behind where the clutch pedal would go through.

I couldn't waste anymore time to be honest... and on a brand new car I wasn't prepared to potentially damage the loom.

Good luck...
