Hi everyone,

I have Beats Audio in my Cupra Ateca and while I'm generally pleased with its sound quality and max output, I have some concerns about it.

First of all, the subwoofer setting seems to have very little effect on the bass level.
Even when I set it from the lowest setting to way up the highest, there's very little change in the actual bass output.
I'm wondering if this is the case for all Ateca/Beats Audio owners, or is your experience with it different than mine ?
Your responses to this one will be greatly appreciated. 🙏

Second question: Does anyone know the diameter of the loudspeakers in doors ?
I looked up the original speakers in parts catalog and found out they are only 2-ohms versions of speakers with 4-ohms in non-Beats cars, so they're nothing special I believe.
I'm considering replacing them with Focal VW kits but there are different sizes of those such as 155, 165 and 180 and I'm not sure which one would be the exact replacement for originals. Other than the impedance, the only information I got from the parts catalog is that all 4 speakers on front and rear doors are the same, it's not like they used bigger ones on the front etc. So I wanted to ask around here before I attempt to remove the door cards and measure them myself.

Best regards,
Serdar

No one using Beats Audio?

I guess Cupra side gets much less views than SEAT side of the forum 😓

hey i have seat ateca with beats but i think is the same system
In my opinion sound is bad (like amp doesn't work on full potential)
If you switch to bluetooth sound is noticable better but you lost AA/Carplay :/
Maybe you have fix now?

Hi, thanks for replying.
I wouldn't say the sound is bad, I don't have a complaint with the sound quality, it's clear and detailed enough for me. The power output is not very strong though, after a certain point, increasing the volume level doesn't seem like doing anything. My biggest concern is the bass setting, as I said in my post. I almost hear no difference between the lowest and highest level and that makes you think like there's a software/hardware problem, hence the question for others using the same system.
