hello
I am having a problem with my aircon the compressor clutch will not engage it is a mk1 leon cupra if I go into diagnostic menu 1c it scrolls through these numbers 9.7 , 15.4 , 18.3 , 22.1 , 50.3 if I go into 52c it displays number 2 then number 5
also i cannot connect to climate control unit 08

does anybody know what is causing this

thanks

Climatronic pin out here.

i have been into the diagnostic menu that is where i got the numbers in my original post i went back in and checked
5 Digital value of Outside Air (Ambient) Temperature Sensor (G 17), front the number i got was 10.5
6 Digital value of Outside Air (Ambient) Temperature Sensor the number i got was 19.5
the outside temperature at the time was 25 degrees

Those are default values used if the sensors completely fail, what does the temp on the dash say?

Right, I found the list of fault codes too.

Diagnostic Trouble Code Notes:
*02.1Digital default value of 128 is programmed if

*04.1Value supplied by Temp. Sensor is used if sensor
fails
*05.1Value supplied by Temp. Sensor is used if sensor
fails
*05.2Digital default value of 128 is programmed if
sensors G89 & G17 both fail
*06.1Engine Coolant Temperature is calculated is sensor
should fail or is not installed; diagnosis occurs only
above 0 degrees Celsius
*07.1Programmed corrective value = 0
*08.1Temperature Regulator Flap Motor will no longer be
controlled automatically; manual adjustment only
*08.5Motor is cycled; software attempts to eliminate
block
*11.1Central Flap Motor will no longer be controlled
automatically; manual adjustment only
*11.5Motor is cycled; software attempts to eliminate
block
*13.1Footwell/Defroster Flap Motor will no longer be
controlled automatically; manual adjustment only
*13.5Motor is cycled; software attempts to eliminate
block
*15.1Digital value is internally programmed for
limp-home mode
*15.5Motor is cycled; software attempts to eliminate
block
*20.1Compressor remains off until voltage is greater
than 10.8V for at least 25 seconds
*22.1Compressor remains off until switch closes
*22.5Compressor re-engagement circuit, VAG 1551 Scan
Tool function

Looking through all the codes, the fault that will stop the compressor running is 22.1, which is for a faulty pressure switch (or the wiring to it) . In the notes it even says compressor will not engage until switch closes.

99% sure that's your only issue that would stop it working. Rest are just for flaps and the air blower itself etc.

Switch is located on the bulkhead, see here https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/air-con-pressure-switch-leon-mk1.421975/

i am going to test the high pressure switch when i get a chance the weather has been bad the last few days so i have not had a chance to get to it yet i will keep this updated with the results and resolution when i get the aircon sorted
