• Hey Guest👍👎 We're looking for reviews of your local CUPRA or SEAT Dealership - it's quick and easy to do: Leave a review now
You could return to your supplying dealer and ask their sales team to demonstrate the function, then investigate the lack of it's presence if that ends up being the case.

I have just bought a new Terramar V2 1.5. I’ve downloaded the my Cupra app on my iPhone and linked it to the car. I can’t see a remote parking function on the app, although the car is supposed to have this functionality. Has anyone else found the remote parking feature or used it?
Hi Ted, have had any luck with this? I bought a 75 plate V2 1.5 petrol at the weekend and also expected to have the remote parking feature as advertised on Cupra UK website. I’m going to give them a call tomorrow to try and find out why it isn’t showing. Some Facebook posts suggest it’s only on the hybrid and EV variants but it clearly states on the website under the V2 1.5 petrol and hybrid option. Thanks

Hi Kenny! Yes you’re right- it says everywhere on the Cupra Terramar materials- manual, website, configurator- that the v2 1.5 mild hybrid model has the remote parking feature However, despite following the instructions in the manual exactly about syncing my iPhone with the Cupra connect app and so on, I have not been able to find or activate this feature. Do come back and let me know how you get on with the dealer- I will be very interested to hear what they advise!

Question is as a mused before whether the feature appears in the build codes and if it does, whether the feature has been missed out of the app. Needs someone who knows about Audi build codes, assuming its on associated Audis or any VW / Skoda. Then you would look down the list to find said build code. Aha this is they, then why isn't it in the app. If its on some Terramar model and is known, then you look for the build codes on that and check with the one it's missing on.

I don't trust app developers to get it right, why I reckon they need to investigate the build codes.

Aunty AI says this about the Audi which may be a starting point

Same query with Cupra instead of Audi

Hi Ted, I spoke to Cupra UK this morning. They sent me a digital manual which says the car should have it. I spoke to 2 different people who then told me it doesn’t have it only the Born and Tavascan fully electric models have it. I explained to them that on their website it states in the 1.5 petrol V2 trim that it comes as standard. Shen then went on to say that the Terramar didn’t have park assist at all. I said that’s funny I used it yesterday 😂. I got the feeling they hadn’t a clue what the motor comes with. So unfortunately no further forward. I’ll be speaking with dealership later this week. Will let you know how that goes.

It’s not unknown for VAG product literature to contain errors and inconsistencies - this was certainly the case more often than not with VW.

If it was Cupra UK Customer Services you spoke to, I seem to remember seeing somewhere a while back that VAG outsource their customer services operations to third party suppliers. If this is the case, then it’s likely that call handlers technical and product knowledge will be limited and they’ll be using Cupra-supplied support material when responding to customer queries. So if the support material is incorrect, the information they’ll supply to customers will also be incorrect.

Just a bit of a pain when you’re spending a lot of money based on their literature. I suppose it’s not a big loss for myself as the times I’d need to use it would be minimal. But it’s not the point, their manuals and website should be accurate. It’s not difficult. Will let you know what the dealership says.

Reminds me of the Spanish Seat board where they mused over a class action that the launch Atecas didn't have DCC. Pre ordered but no DCC. Never happened in the UK since DCC wasn't promoted on the launch Atecas.

Still think to get down the bottom of this the build codes need to be studied to see whether it was ever built with the remote parking system in the car or any of the other models in the range. The chief tech in the dealership should rise to the occasion.
