Hi all,

First post here..I have a 2018 leon fr 1.8 and I was wondering does the golf r hpfp bolt right up or is there adapters i would need and also is there a lpfp people recommend?

I'm going stage 3 and have all other supporting mods along with sachs clutch and garret powermax stage 1 turbo but the petrol quality in Ireland is so poor I would definitely need either a upgraded hpfp & lpfp or one or the other and need some advice from people with experience

Thanks!

If you are aiming for around 370-380ps, both pumps are sufficient. I got this info from my tuner who takes care of my car and others from the VAG group

If there is a shortage of fuel during tuning, additional fuel dosage can be programmed via the indirect fuel injection (MPI). This generally takes care of the problem.

98 RON. This is the kind of fuel we use in Poland and tuning is done for it (occasionally for 100 RON at very high powers)

Thank you, we only have 95 ron fuel in Ireland and my guess is it's watered down too, stage 1 here max's out at 220 bhp and i see some cars in England get 252 bhp out of a stage one so I think I would need to upgrade at least the hpfp

I had 245PS on 95 RON with the original IS12, also it could be that your fuel is of inferior quality. I would nevertheless try tuning as is. The indirect injectors can add a fair amount of fuel which is often enough. However, if it's not enough on your fuel, I personally don't know if the pump from the Golf R will fit without modification.

Golf R HPFP bolts right up to your CJSA, together with the Golf R injectors you should have enough fuel for 400bhp
