Parcelshelf hanger pin

I had one of the plastic pins that the parcelshelf hangs from somehow pop out of the bootlining. Was a proper struggle getting it back in, so just thought i'd make a post in case anyone has a similar issue in future.

When you look at the pin it doesn't even look possible it will go in the hole, even tried using a hammer to tap it in, but in the end i had to use a plastic jawed clamp to press it back in, and it still required a crazy amount of pressure.

I know what you're saying. My old Cupra had one pop out & for the life of me, I couldn't get it dead straight to tap in, without the risk of splaying it out further that is. I can't remember if I succeeded, may have even left it out.

Yeah I had exactly the same issues mate. Mine had been out for a couple of weeks, but I had a day off work today so decided it was going back in one way or the other haha.

Wow, i never realised they were telescopic No wonder i couldn't get it back in! That solves the mystery of why they are so tight hahaha. Cheers mate!

Bought some Chinese ones and they'd obviously just copied the photos and measurements because they were solid and didn't push in
