Swapping over the battery is quite an easy DIY job, which you can do at home. Don't forget coding the battery to the car for the best longevity of your car battery. Especially when you swap over an EFB battery for a better AGM battery, as I did. This was one of the first times working on my Cupra, so I didn't know you had to remove part of the air intake to gain more access :giggle:

My old Banner battery had a "dotcode" for the battery: 2215, which stands for week 22-2015

I replaced it with an Exide EK720

For the VCDS part:

- Battery adaptation-Rated battery capacity

Change the value if you put a bigger/smaller battery in. The value is almost always printed on your new battery

- Change/check: Battery adaptation-Battery technology

I went from EFB to AGM. When you put in a AGM battery, choose FLEECE (!) and not "Binary - AGM"

- Battery adaptation-Battery manufacturer

If you swap to another brand, use one of these codes:

- Battery adaptation-Battery serial number

If your new battery has a serial number, change it in this field
