Something that has started since its got colder but when I go to start the car it beeps for a few seconds at first I thought it was something to warn of a low temperature or something but I couldn`t find anything to suggest that it was anything to do with that but now checking again it sounds like its coming from the empty passenger seat, I connect the seat belt it still does it - has anyone any idea whats going on there?

Could it be seatbelt warning? Maybe you have a bag or similar on the passenger seat making the car believe you have a passenger or possibly the passenger seat pressure switch is faulty.

I called the dealer they say it could be the passenger seat sensor they have had a few where this has happened so its booked in to check it out.

Meanwhile how about try to switch OFF passenger airbag manually and see if it makes difference. And switch it back to ON. How about sitting in the passenger seat which would apply the pressure to sensor if its stuck somewhere who knows.

Apparently the puddle lights image failing is not an unknown Cupra feature!
My Formentor is 3 years old in June and 20k miles, the battery appears to be on its last legs, the OE Varta battery is covered for 3 years or 60k miles and apparently a duff battery can cause electrical sensor problems they are going to check that as well but I doubt it will be replaced they will say its holding some charge but not failed, I did a 90 mile trip yesterday and the alternator is charging at 14.3 volts but when I got home I checked the battery it was only on 12.2 volts this morning its dropped to 11.9 volts so I have to keep putting it on a trickle charge at the moment as the dealer can`t look at it until Feb 3rd to be honest it would have probably been better to use our local garage or Halfords they would have checked it immediately!
