When i start the car, and warm it up there is a very noticeable ticking noise from the engine. now ive just done a full service and they have mentioned no faults with the engine but i don't believe them somehow?
can anyone feed my delusions and confirm or deny that it is a problem?

here is the video:

Which version of 1.2TSI engine is this, the earlier 8v chain driven one with the turbo at the front of the engine, or the later version which is 16v belt driven with the turbo at the back of the engine?

I am unsure but i do know it is the Second facelift version of the previous range (2016-17) its the 6J. which i believe is the later 16v belt driven.

The injectors will make a bit of noise so will the mechanical high pressure fuel pump, all/most types of VW Group engines make nasty noises - unfortunately.

I've possibly forgotten just how noisy that engine makes in my wife's 2015 VW Polo at 58,000 miles.
