Apple Music taking over radio

Had an update to the car Leon fr sport 2022 a few weeks ago which is running fw 1989 and I’m using an iPhone 17

Lately when my phone connects to car wireless it keeps playing Apple Music and when I flick the screen for radio within a second it goes back to Apple Music. I have to turn off CarPlay which I don’t want to have to do due to other apps I may need whilst driving such has waze, WhatsApp

It is driving me crazy and only just started to happen, any ideas?

I think you have to look into the phone. ( app: Apple music : Auto start function )
Apple music starts automatic when he sees the car or carplay.
Or in the app: Carplay on the phone : auto start apple music.

Don’t seem to have that option anywhere in music or app settings. Very strange, this morning it didn’t do it??

Found the problem, I purchased a cheap Honor watch pro watch and when I leave the app running on iPhone to keep connection with the watch it messes with the car system.
My Apple watch doesn’t do this to the car system.
