2009 Leon 1.9 Tdi Crankcase Breather

Hi SEAT Enthusiasts! I have a developing problem of oil leaking into the inlet trunking and am trying to find out if the crank case/engine block breather is a likely cause. The car is a 2009 Leon 1.9 Tdi with 70,000 on the clock. It has been recently serviced at an independent who have identified the leak, without specifying any particular source of the leak, just that it is evident around joints etc linked to the areas where trunking is situated. Any advice and pointers for parts would be gratefully received, thanks!

Hi James, thanks for getting back. It is only using a small amount of oil in general use, maybe 0.5 litre every 1000 miles, which I think is acceptable. The problem was only recently highlighted after the garage had disconnected some of the trunking, observed oil in the disconnected joints and then did not re-connect the joints properly allowing oil to escape. Maybe they are looking for more work? I am hoping that there is no real problem and that just a good clean up and ensuring that the trunking is properly connected together will pretty much answer the question. My question about the crankcase breather is whether there is an oil separator within it which maybe perished and contributing to the issue. I cannot seem to find any replacement parts for the breather/separator listed for the Mk 2 1.9tdi? Perhaps you may know more about it? Thanks in advance.

The breather assembly is in the black plastic cam cover.
