Sorry to hear you are having problems. Have you had any warnings on the dashboard or have you had the car scanned any DTC codes shown.

Hi tracktoy had no warnings of the engine cutting out a technician road tested the car the engine cut out on him but nothing showed on the computer so they are trying to send the car back to me.

Hmm I am no expert but if they have not fixed it they need to seek help from seat tech support otherwise it's not fit for purpose in my view

Thanks at last someone agrees with me I have been in touch with Cupra customer services they did speak to the dealership but that's as far as it went I had a conversation with the service manager today he said they're not interested because nothing is recorded on the computer.

And yet there engineer saw the problem. Just because they can't fins an issue on the computer. That's there software bug so they should explain why it failed (which they have seen) but left no trace.

Yes that's what said because they can't see a problem they can't fix it I don't know why they won't contact Cupra technical department thats what Cupra told me would happen originally but it hasn't. I've just seen 3 new members with the same problem that gives me more to hit them with tomorrow.

There's plenty of tech bulletins that stipulate the new software update suite is needed for various issues.

Push the dealer to contact the brand's technical department if the update isn't available for your car. They might be able to advise further.

Welcome to the community. Hope you get it sorted.

Well 1yr 2mts on and nothing has changed my Cupra Leon still cuts out and now the brand are refusing to allow the dealer to upgrade the computer because it's still not recording any faults on the car , it's just had it's 1st service I gave them A list of items that's come up while driving but as they say nothing is recorded and now the Brand has said the problem is the driver profile which even the dealer doesn't understand. I now want to take legal action but I don't know where to start. I have tried rejecting the car with the dealers advice but it's been rejected.

If a car randomly cuts out without any errors being logged, in my experience that was due to signal issues from the TDC (Top Dead Center) sensor. When this gives implausible signals, it cuts out the fuel pump no warning, to prevent fire. I have had this in 3 different cars in the past: Seat Leon Cupra MK1, VW Golf 3 GTI & the last one I cant remember
