Hello I am looking for some advance. I have a rear bumper similar to the one below. However i would like to install a Tow Bar to allow me to take my bikes with me. However i dont really want to just chop a hole in painted part to allow it through.

I have seen this type of rear valance but im not sure how i would go about fitting this to my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some tow bars only need a minimal bumper cut - but this would vary with tow bar manufacturer.
I would check the fitting instructions of the major tow bar manufacturer - and see which has the smallest cut. That area is only visible on your knees looking for it.

When I had one fitted to my ST they had to cut the bumper. It couldn't be avoided. They also removed the rear cross member and replace it with what looks like box steel. It really strengthens the back end and helps provide the 100kg nose weight I need for my bike carrier. Apparently, if you get rear ended, whatever hits you will stop at the box steel. I also had dedicated electronics installed so my rear sensors switch off when connected and you get a nice little suppplementary indicator light on the dash. I also have LED lights so just splicing in wasn't worth it. Been spot on since being done 6 years ago. It was a quick release one, a Witter like this:

Hope you can find a way to get it done with minimal cutting.

The 100kg listed on your towbar - isn't the max allowed nose weight. The Leon max nose weight is 80kg - irrespective of what the towbar says.

There are not many/if any 'normal' cars which can take a 100kg nose weight, you're looking at SUV's or big estates to get 100kg nose weight.

From the Leon 2016 manual:
MK4 Leon also has 80kg nose weight - even though it is often listed as having a higher towing limit.

Thanks for that. The tow BAR says 80 or 90kg but due to the fact that I now have the equivalent of an RSJ bolted to the back of my car, it's a lot sturdier than it was before. I have 3 figures from the "RSJ", the tow bar and the bike carrier. I don't go over 45kg anyway with what I carry but appreciate the info.
