I've just bought a double din Pioneer Avic-F930BT off EBay, paid for an installer to fit it and it's asking for a password, can't find one in the box or on any of the paperwork, messaged the seller and he is adamant he didn't set up a password on it!

I've heard that if no password is set up there should be an X in the top right hand corner of the password screen which takes to the password setup, there is no X!

Ive tried detaching the anti theft facia and reattaching as I heard that would help but that hasn't worked either :(

What the hell can I do??? Should there be a password somewhere in the box? Is there a generic password? Can I get it unlocked? Otherwise I have an expensive stereo that doesn't work! :((

Any help really appreciated!

Factory passwords are usually something like 0000 or 1234

Your only option is to get the password off the seller ( YES I know he claims he never set one but this could be a delaying tactic to get passed the ebay/paypal dispute time limits)

If he can't provide one then you should return the expensive paperweight to the seller for a full refund because it is none functional.
