Exeo ST 2012MY 170 Sport Tech and 12MY Leon FR

I'm off to collect my new toy today, a 2012MY Exeo ST sport tech 170 tdi in Nevada metallic white, the wife has banned me from any big mods infill it's out of warranty (or until she gives up) but I am already planning a few little things over the next few months...like RS4 rear arb, black roof wrap, de badged, roof spoiler to finish the back end off, changing the switches on the centre console to B7 ones so they have the chrome on them to match everything else, and also a new set of rims... But they might come over winter as I want some Bentley splits so I can get them refurbed to match the car.

Oh and when she gives in I'll get a miltek system on there too,

Picked it up, and ordered my boot spoiler heheh! The modding begins!

Wildie - if I see ya I'll defo give you a flash, the exeo is like my old mini. Not a common sight on the road, which is another reason I love it!

Already found a prob with it though, the headlights have burn marks from the HIDs, so they are being swapped under warranty, a bit worrying they are showing signs after only 7k though! I'll get a post going in the exeo bit as it is something other owners of 12MY cars need to check and keep an eye on, hopefully mines just a one off!

This shows the blister that's on the inside of the light, it's not massive, but it's not right it's there.



I have also started modding, the cig lighter has been changed for a genuine Bentley 12v socket plug,


Oh and the wife noticed a large **** up when I collected her from work...the reg was wrong! The dealer had fitted new plates with their name on them and got 1 letter wrong...

After a trip back to the dealer just before they shut I picked up the corect plates..which I have stuck on my self (and in the process found out the screw driver and wheel bolt cap puller are missing from the tool kit!!!! The new plates won't be on for long, pressed plates will be ordered by the end of the month along with plate holders.

Boot liner orders and installed now I'm back off a week with 20 brownies (the wife's a girl guide leader so I get roped into help)



Boot liner was ordered from eBay, 70 quid delivered, and comes with zips on the rear corners so the seat back can be dropped easily, fits nice a snug, and the flap to cover the rear bumpers a nice touch too.

Also got my new plates on, and de badged the car completely, needs a good clay and wax, only had a quick wash this morn and then aqua waxed, but pics were taken last night.




Roof spoiler next, then I'll do engine bay covers etc and maybe some new rims then I'll leave it alone for a bit

Ill get some better pics up soon, gave it a quick wash and wax once it was de badged, but then went straight out into the countryside for a wedding and the car got bug covered again lol

Still not got any pics...done about 1500 miles in and loving it! My spoiler is at the body shop at the mo and should be on this weekend all being well!

I have also had new headlamps fitted under warranty, but these have already started showing the same blistering, albeit not as bad yet.

Just ordered a set of the pedal covers off ebay, brand spanking new for £30 delivered! can't go wrong! also ordering all the engine bay trim bits tonight to neaten that up.

Given up on some of the engine bay trims, the rs4 cover and the v6 cover behind the air box looked pants on their fit, so sacked them off, but the battery cover is on, and the weather seal for the engine bay is on.

Also the spoiler is on! Looks pimp as! Needs a good polish to shine it up, and the car needs a wash once its fully set, but here's a quick peak




Well worth the wait, pedal covers look and feel nice too!

Not updated this for a while... But not really done masses with the car or even taken any proper pics yet...however we have now just clocked over 12k miles and its had its first service, the eceonomy is slowly getting better... But if its mostly town driving its still poor!!! But the extra grunt and looks of the car make up for it lol..

I have got one better pic I took of the back end showing the spoiler, and come the summer the car will be having my a4s 19s fitted for one weekend when we take it off to GTI International car show and enter the show and shine for a laugh... I suspect will be be the only exeo there lol!



The wife is still on about having the roof wrapped though... I say gloss black but she wants a deep pink and the wing mirrors plus the baskets of a new set of rims doing to match.... In not so sure...

Cheers, I'm going to try my 19s on soon ish... You never know a set may find their way into the exeo..I was thinking of taking to the car to Ultimate Dubs, but I don't think I will make it now.. Which is a shame as I would put money on it being the only exeo there on a club stand lol

If the wethers good over the next week I'm off work, so ill get it washed, waxed and some pics done, might even try the 19s off my Audi to see what they are like, but having seen it driving today as the wife passed me as I walked down the street I quite like the 18s...

Also the wife has said she wants a twin exit miltek like I had on my old a4, so within the next year I will get one on, along with the wife's other mods (she wants a pink roof and wing mirror cover wrap... In still not fully convinced)
