Ok, here goes..

Last november I thought I was pretty flush and treated myself to the car I had wanted since college. In my opinion, she was automotive p0rn when I bought her (still is), and i thought i'd buy a new-ish, sexy and fast car so I wouldn't have to spend money fixing her, making her any prettyer or any faster...

I was lucky when I found this car, hidden away in the private classifeds. I had already been a bit of a seat geek as I bought a Imperial Blue Tolly Tdi as my first nice car at college (previous to that it was a gold fiat brava with plastic bumpers.. eurgh) and damn did I love it. It lasted me 3 years, many thousand miles and several girlfriends. Good old Tolly. In the end I sold her to my little sister for a bargain price, on the proviso she offered me first dibs when she came to sell it just in case I should want to buy it back at anypoint

But back to the story, I bought this cupra in particular because it had spec i'd never seen before on the leon. In the advert the seller mentioned something about a winter pack, but i've never heard any more about it. Anyway, she came with the following spec:

Heated Leather Electric Seats

Tilt/Slide Electric Sunroof

Heated Headlamp Squirters

Tinted, Heated and electrically retractable wing mirrors and autodimming rear view mirror

...As you can imagine I feel pretty damn pampered when I get in the car.

Also, the owner before me had added:

S2000 Ariel
Forge 007p
Fabia rear wiper (although squirter doesn't work, never bothered me)

Then I decided to splash some cash and bought a Cupra R splitter. Any fitted it all on my own (we've all got to start somewhere).

She's also been treated to some Proxes T1-R at the front, as the nearly new GSDs that were on the car when i bought wore out within 7k miles. And I wasn't even driving the car hard.

In the 7 months i've had her I have done 12000 miles already . 12000 miles I have thoroughly enjoyed, but when buying the car I didn't factor i'd be doing this many miles. The thing is, since I've had this baby I have wanted to drive her EVERYWHERE. I have pretty much given up boozing because
A: I just want to drive to the club instead and
B: I spend all my money on fuel. And servicing. She's had a minor and a major service in the time i've had her, including cambelt.

So she's keeping me to my namesake. I've had to make some comprimises to keep her 100% tip top condidtion but I WOULD NOT WANT IT ANY OTHER WAY..

Realistically, I would like to treat her to the following:
Dent doctor (for all those unavoidable little dents pr*cks leave with their doors)
Paint correction (she's got nasty stonechips to the bonnet)
Cupra badges  (Surely she's a cupra, why isn't she badged as such?[mind you, a kindly SCNer I met at no rice last week says he can have his old ones, what a star])
Green cotton air filter
HIDs (I find the dipped beam is rubbish)
Remap
Uprated Rear ARB
Dog bone mount (Have you actually seen how much the engine moves in the bay on a rolling road? Trust me you'll want one of these when you have)

However we'll have to see..

To be continued....?

I'm pretty sure the seats came with the car, but I can't find the original receipt to back this up. I feel lucky tho, I havn't seen the same seats (and heated) on any golf mk4 based car let alone a leon..
