Not so much of a build thread as much as completed projects :)

I have cheated with both cars as they were modified in a relatively short time frame and I never took many before or during photos

Most of the work on the MK1 was completed by Jake (Panelcare) and Awesome GTI

MK1 was bought at 1 year old, totally OEM with 2500 miles on the clock.
Didn't originally want a silver car (really wanted Platinum) but it was a bargain.

Spent a modest amount upgrading spec and it went Stage 2 Custom Code. Sold it after 5 years with just under 20K on the clock!

Took a break for a year and used the sale money to buy the g/f a new Ibiza Copa (I drive it the most ) and I took her Corsa that we had from new.

Got the itch again after the year when I saw a forum member selling this fine example. Again another Luna but the few mods it had and the price was right, swayed me for this to be a decent starting point.

Had it a few weeks the put on the new wheels and fitted a full turbo back Pipewerx exhaust (had one on the MK1 and loved it). Then shipped it off to Awesome. Came back about 2 weeks later and left me a lot lighter in the wallet. APR Stage 2+ spec and mods. Intercooler, engine mounts, roll bars, fully pollybushed blah blah.

I will go into more detail if asked but for now just wanted a reference thread for anyone wanting 'a pic of' or for a future project to add to

how do you find it compared to the lcr, its amazing what 0.2l can do,

i loved everyone of my lcr, and still prefer some aspects of them, but the mk2 is just a beast!!

When you mapped the MK1 at stage 2 I was well happy with the results. CC was not as aggressive as the Revo offering but I liked the smooth power delivery.

My Mk2 makes the old one feel like a shopping trolley  I think the Mk2 platform is as standard, slightly better, stiffer etc.. I like both engines and they both respond to a map really well. However I love the APR map on this. Pretty much instant power everywhere.

I do prefer the looks of the Mk1 though. I think it's one of the nicest looking 5 door cars out there, even today.

Not at current MK3 prices
Fancy 4WD and DSG/S-tronic next. Golf R/S4 possibly.
Unless rumoured Cupra R ticks all the boxes. Will enjoy the MK2 for now.
Spent enough on it and it holds it's own on the road ;)
