Sod paying a garage over £300 to do it......

Went to VW this morning and bought the Cambelt, Tensioner, AUX Belt and PAS Belt, all for about £60 ;)

Then spent about 2hrs this afternoon fitting them :D

Took it slowly to make sure I didn't c0ck it up etc, and screw the timing up.....

Well chuffed :D

Will be doing Em's 1.4 in a couple of weeks.... gotta be easier than mine !!!

Nice mate, wish I had the bottle to try the same business on mine, but it's my daily drive and can't afford any **** ups! Chicken I know :whistle:

Tom, mine's my daily drive.... (but with the back-up of Em's 1.4 if I did c0ck it up!) It's honestly not that hard, you just need to pay alot of attention to the timing marks and make sure they all line up when you've finished.

Stu, good to know about the 1.4.... reckon I should be able to do it in about an hour after having the practice on mine!
