abs

had the mechanic man plug his thing into me car lastweek to diagnose me abs fault, was informed it was my rear offside abs sensor, so went and got one today brand new from GSF and fitted it, but the light is still on. does it need to be reset or should it go off automatically?

just a quick one guys. Are abs sensors all the same i have the 180 cupra with the engine code auq the only sensor i can get is for the engine code app. will the sensor's be any different they are both for the cupra 2001 20vt 180 bhp. :shrug:
