Just bought a MK3 Toledo. When I test drove it the AM radio seemed to work okay. Now reception on AM is non-existant. I need my football on 5 live!! Any help greatly appreciated.

I have a 56 plate FR and I have noticed that the radio reception seems to have got worse [ now out of warranty!] any one else had simlar problems - and yes the aerial IS still attached!!?!

Had an Pioneer F900BT installed but i've got a couple of problems with the radio: 1 - AM radio has no reception at all. If i manually tune to the freqency for 5 live there's something very faint through the fuzz. 2 - FM radio isn't too strong either. It often loses Radio 1 completely...

Is there anyway of boosting the reception as mine is pretty dire to say the least. Ive currently got a short stubby ariel as I did not like the standard one on.

Recently changed HU for a Sony, and now i don't get any AM reception. Previous factory fit HU worked fine on all band as well. I know it's not the HU as the HU worked fine on all bands in the previous car. Is there somehting i'm missing here? .G.

The radio reception in the cupra is toilet at best! v.poor on FM and trying to listen to MW is a joke! interference when indicating, reception cutting out when going under bridges. low sound quality and genral massive interference. done a search and come up with nothing other than it might be...

well it seems form over function in this case replaced the naff standard aerial with the s2000 aerial but ever since, the radio signal is ALOT worse, barely picking up some stations, or they keep fading in and out all the time any cure about, or something I will have to live with?

Has anyone got/had really poor AM reception on there standard head unit ?? FM is fine but AM is poor to non existant ! Any ideas or is it a trip to the main dealers ? Cheers

Hi, I have fitted a Sony MP3 player to my Seat Leon Cupra. Eberything seems fine apart from the FM Reception. This seems to be the case on any station I tune into. The reception isn't bad but not great. Does the aerial on the car need some sort of power feed as standard? Thanks, Alan.

Hi, Recently got myself a Honda S2000 aerial off ebay (my first-ever mod woohoo!). Fitted it ok and it looks good, but the radio reception is now really rubbish. Still got the standard Aura HU. Has anyone else noticed poorer radio reception with these aerials or have I been sold a dodgy one...
