thermostat

hi everyone asked this this question on the other seat forum and didnt get any feedback, i was browsing on awesomes site the other day and spotted the above as mentioned and a fan switch to suit the above, im wondering if the above items are worth fitting to my mk 3 ibiza cupra which has a remap...

I have the famous 17704 - engine coolant error - check temp sensor/thermostat. It used to be intermittent, now its permanent! I changed the temp sensor once already and still no good. So could it be the thermostat? What problems would I have if my thermsotat wasn't working properly...

Hi, my car overheated today (just as I was coming down my road, luckily). My husband has looked at it and says that he thinks the thermostat maybe stuck shut. I topped it up with coolant when it had cooled down, and drove it round the block, the temp needle started to rise above the half way...

Has anyone been fortunate enough to figure out how you get the thermostat out. theres no room at all to get to the bolts, the only way i can see to do it is take off the water pump, etc. :cry:

These are the three things that could be wrong with my car! PROBLEM - I was driving to work when I noticed I was down on power :censored: looked at my dash to see the temp rising above 90 deg so I shat my self and pulled over. Within a minute the temp was back to normal (the fans were on)...
